My work is rooted in a fascination with the human figure and its ability to carry stories across time. Through oil painting, I draw from the traditions and techniques of classical portraiture while exploring contemporary ideas surrounding identity, mythology, and the human experience.
I am interested in creating paintings that feel both timeless and immediate, rewarding close observation while leaving room for interpretation. My aim in each piece is to create a sense of presence, emotion, and connection between the subject and the viewer.
I want each painting to feel like more than an image. My goal is to create work that invites reflection and new interpretations upon each revisit, and gives lasting significance to the people and stories it portrays.
